Student Government Day 2026

Image

ImageThis year's Student Government Day took place on February 19 and was enjoyed by both students and Commissioners. The students received an overview of a Commissioner’s role in County government, participated in breakout sessions with Commissioners, covering topics such as transparency in government, the County budget, and common issues faced by Commissioners, participated in “Issues on the Line” sponsored by MSU Extension’s 4H program, and acted as Commissioners in a mock meeting.

Thank you to all of the students who submitted essays and participated.

The recipient of the $1,000 Student Government Day scholarship will be announced at a meeting this month. A special thank you to Advancing Macomb for sponsoring this scholarship and supporting today’s youth and the BOC Student Government Day program.Image
